How to use apple cider vinegar to lose belly fat

Let us dive into a study that was around six years ago. This study was done on 175 Japanese participants, and it was done on obese people. It’s also worth mentioning that this study was double-blinded. This is what they found over 12 weeks: they found significant benefits in reducing visceral fat, that’s the fat around the gut, and subcutaneous fat. That is the fat just beneath the skin in reducing triglycerides, cholesterol, increasing the BMI, and also decreasing body fat as well as decreasing the waist to hip ratio. This is amazing because, back six years ago, the only studies that we could find were on mice.

Apple cider vinegar for belly fat

There is some interesting information on mice: if we have an obese pet mouse, we definitely need to start giving apple cider vinegar because it can inhibit the expression of lipogenic genes. Those genes increase fat production, so apple cider vinegar can inhibit the expression of those genes, which is pretty cool. Who wants a bunch of fat mice running around your house? So the acid in apple cider vinegar is called acetic acid, and so it has been known to suppress body fat. Now that’s probably because of what it does to insulin for the reason that it really helps you regulate your blood sugars. That’s primarily what we talked about six years ago. If you think that consuming something acid would make the body more acid because acid is an unhealthy state, then you shouldn’t be consuming apple cider vinegar. This is completely false information.

Our bodies should not be at one pH because different parts of your body have a different pH. Our stomachs are extremely acidic; your gallbladder material is slightly alkaline as well as your intestine. Your urine and large intestine should be slightly acid, but not extremely acid like the stomach. We need these different PHS to activate different enzymes for a lot of different purposes. So the apple cider vinegar would support the stomach acids. It’ll help you digest better at the stomach level, which is exactly where the start of digestion occurs, right? It means it does start in the mouth with chewing, but the stomach is like the incinerator. That’s where you have these really strong acids, like a pH of one to three. This is like battery acid and that hydrochloric acid is going to release enzymes to start breaking down protein and really do a number on our food. That is why you wouldn’t want to alkalize the stomach, and this is why apple cider vinegar is used for a lot of digestive problems.

You definitely can use apple cider vinegar to help us lose more weight, and roughly, within 12 weeks, we could potentially lose an extra two to four pounds. It might not sound like a lot, but if you look at how much two to four pounds of actual fat is, that’s significant. It’s especially if it’s targeting the midsection and the subcutaneous fat just beneath the skin, as well as supporting your blood sugars and helping you with insulin resistance, which is at the core of a slow metabolism.

How to use apple cider vinegar for weight loss

Take 1 oz (2 Tbsp or 30 ml) of apple cider vinegar and mix it into an 8 oz glass of water (16 Tbsp or 240 ml). You can also add lemon juice or a blended lemon and electrolyte powder or liquid stevia to this mixture.

Drink this twice a day — once in the morning and once in the evening.

Keep in mind you should avoid apple cider vinegar during a prolonged fast (48+ hours of fasting). You should also avoid apple cider vinegar if you have an ulcer.

Do you basically take one ounce of apple cider vinegar? That’s two tablespoons or 30 milliliters of apple cider vinegar. You’re going to pour that into about an 8-ounce glass of water, and you also might want to add some lemon juice. You could take a whole lemon, blend it in the water and put your apple cider vinegar in there with it. Additionally, you can put a scoop of my electrolyte powder, which has all the electrolytes and trace minerals. It’s sweetened with stevia and it’s flavored, so it tastes really good because sometimes the apple cider vinegar can be a little bit on the bitter side. If you don’t want to use electrolytes, you can just put some stevia in there, maybe 10 drops, so it’ll be sweet, and if you have lemon in there, it’ll taste like lemonade, and just realize if you’re going to use lemon juice out of a bottle.

There’s not going to be a lot of vitamin C in there, but if we use a whole lemon, we’re going to have a lot of vitamin C, and it’s highly recommended to use the whole lemon. So we put it in the blender, blend it up and then slug it down twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, so basically you’re doing a total of four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar every single day split up.

Remember that it’s not recommended to do this on a regular basis. If you’re concerned about your teeth because of this acid, just use a straw.

Who should avoid apple cider vinegar?

Now, the only time when consuming apple cider vinegar is not recommended is during a prolonged fast. This is the reason we’re going to be in some major ketosis and we’re going to be pretty acidic, so we wouldn’t want to necessarily put more acid.

And then there’s another situation that’s not recommended – it is if you have an ulcer in your stomach, but you’ll know that really quickly because when you drink it you’ll have more pain in your stomach. But other than that, if you wanted something a little extra to help you lose a little more weight, you might want to try that.
